On September 9, 2019, Mr. Waranon Pitiwan, Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Bureau, attended the Thailand Labor Management Excellence Award 2019 ceremony at the Grand Diamond Ballroom, Impact Muang Thong Thani, to promote employer cooperation, create employee with the potential, and increase labor productivity with good quality of life. In this event, Quality Plus Aesthetic International Co., Ltd. was honored to attend the award ceremony.
Mom Ratchawongse Chatumongol Sonakul, Minister of Labor opened the ceremony of the Thailand Labor Management Excellence Award 2019, saying that Thailand will move towards becoming a country with stable economic growth. It is necessary to modernize the manufacturing sector in all fields, with an advanced technology used in the production process, to add value to the local products. Therefore, it is necessary to drive Workforce Transformation, so the country’s labor force has high potential coupled with a good quality of life. To reach this goal, it requires cooperation between the public and private sectors, especially the cooperation between employers and employees in the workplace.
The Ministry of Labor has asked Department of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, for a trophy award from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, for the establishments that have excellent labor management in all 3 aspects:
- Safety, occupational health and working environment
- Labor relations and labor welfare
- Thai labor standard (TLS 8001-2003)
including being able to maintain the standard for the longest period. 3 awards were nominated according to the size of the establishment.
Mr. Wiwat Thanghong, Chief of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare, added that in 2019, there were 3,140 business establishments applying to participate in the Management Excellence Award 2019, and 3 royal trophy were awarded at the event today. These award-winning establishments will serve as a model for other enterprises to develop a management system for better quality of life of workers and to further increase the country’s competitiveness.
The main goal of this award is to honor enterprises that use a bilateral mechanism is the participation of employers and employees, in raising the level of labor management to an international standard. Those enterprises meet the standards of the Thai Labor Standard, by adopting the Thai Labor Standard to be used within the organization for workers to receive equal protection, resulting in a quality of life, safety have good labor relations.
